MY DADDY
My Dad deserves the father of the year award!! Why? Because he did something very very special for me... He spent 30 days in the hospital with me during my bone marrow transplant. His being there gave me so much emotional comfort during this very horrendous ordeal. Just his presence by my bedside gave me so much strength. He endured more suffering than me by having to sleep on a fold down chair night after night. His sleep was further interrupted by all the comings and goings of nurses throughout the night. And he had to give up his nightly glass of port which he calls "his sedative". Instead he would raid the patient refridgerator for a shot of orange juice. Days were long and boring for him, yet he never complained. Not once!! He helped me out by eating my food as I couldn't stand the thought of eating, much less smelling the food. This prevented them from making me eat intravenously. He did my laundry too. Made me laugh when I needed to and walked with me down the hallways for my exercise. He did so much for me and I can't thank him enough. Yes, he deserves the father of the year award. Most definitely!!
THANK YOU DADDY!!!
