What a trip, what a wedding!!!

Here are some of the highlights of the trip...

I have to say that Mom was a real trooper throughout the trip to France. I'm the one that had trouble keeping a smile on my face :-( The trip started out with Mom and I literally having to RUN to catch the plane all because the airport parking lots were full and I had to travel away from the airport to park and then had to ride the shuttle bus back. Grrrrrr!! So needless to say, we had a few drinks when we met up with Iva while waiting to catch the long flight to Frankfurt. Hey, we deserved it!! :-)

Well, the rest of the trip to France wasn't any better. A true adventure though. One I won't likely ever forget. We had trouble meeting up with brother Mike in Germany; we had to literally RUN again to catch the first train; we missed another train; and so on and so forth. What was bad though was that I was carrying all my lugguge and my mother's too!! I was tired and cranky to say the least. Enough so that I spent some $$ to hire a shuttle service to get us back to the airport on our return trip.

We do finally arrive in one piece and the rest of the time was like being in a fairy tale. The village was picture perfect. Adorable is the word I like to use. Check out this ancient castle we visited which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Martine's village.
