THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

by David G. Myers

The river of happiness is fed less by wealth than by the stream of ordinary pleasures--a glorious sunset/sunrise, an unexpected gift, a favorite sandwich or meal, etc.

Happiness is ultimately a question of consciousness... The pursuit of happiness is difficult and chancy… but you are never eliminated from the game!!

Happiness can not be bought

Happiness is more internal than external

Happiness is not determined by age, gender, race, or income

Happiness depends more on the frequency of small amounts (moments) and less on their intensity!

Happiness depends less on things than on our attitude toward the things we have!!

Happiness is the ability to receive the pleasant without grasping and the unpleasant without condemning!!
