MY PERSONAL JOURNAL - FEBRUARY 2000

FEBRUARY 7, 2000

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of writing in this online personal journal. I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping it up. It's a nice way for me to go back to see where I've been.

Hello there I’m on top of the world once again… Yes, I just got my results on my latest 6-month checkup and it was GREAT news. I’m still in remission!!! Yippee Yahoo!! I also recently found out that I’m being deployed to Germany for 90 days. I still don’t know whether I’m leaving next week or next month; but either way it should be exciting. I’ll be going to RheinMain which is right there in Frankfurt. I could have easily been shipped to the desert but this TDY (temporary duty) is one of the great ones to “have” to go on ;-) The down side to this is that my shop will be left at 40% manned and that kinda ticks me off that our leadership would do that to us… I tried to fight it; but I lost ;-( But hey, I have to look on the bright side… we are talking a little extra $$$$ in the bank ;-)

Life is good…

Wow!! My how time flys... Today is my 1 year anniversary of being back in the Air Force. I haven't regretted my decision once. It's been a very fulfilling year. I feel alive and well... FEBRUARY 20, 2000

Well, I'm not leaving for Germany until the 12th of March so now I can relax a little... hopefully anyway... last week was pretty stressful. I allowed myself to get overanxious about everything so this week I'm really going to try to take it easy yet get a lot done.

I quit the bowling team... I allowed my feelings to get hurt by taking a comment too seriously... the comment was "We need our 'power bowlers' to bowl on Thursday..." In other words, I was being told I sucked. Doesn't matter that I have a high handicap that actually helps the team... especially when I surpass my average which is most of the time... oh well, it was fun while it lasted and at least my other teammates don't view my performance in the same way. What goes around come around so I will let this go and not worry about it anymore.

Back.
