HENDRIX CHARLES

Hendrix was born a premie. Kathie was only about 26 weeks along when she went into labor. The doctor had to do a C-section. Hendrix weighed only 2lbs, 2oz. He was so tiny! Here's a pic of him soon after he was born.

Kelly was able to go up and visit Kathie in September of '01. Here's a picture of when she was there.

In November, I was able to go out to visit. I got TONS of pictures on my digicam, but will only put a few on my site. I made a blanket for Hendrix. It took me FOREVER to make!! I bought this afghan square thingy so I could make it. The squares were 3"x3". The blankie is 15x13 squares across with all white squares and multi-colored squares on the inner part. And the outside edge was white squares with multi knotting, plus multi-colored fringe around the whole thing. The last couple of weeks I was in a rush and I finished it THE NIGHT BEFORE I left. I was planning on mailing it to her, but since I was flying there, I took it with.

This is a picture of him after Kathie changed him. That is an oxygen tube in his nose. He was also on a heart monitor for quite a few months. I think it was about seven, total.

These two pictures are a lot more recent!! Not as good as the real paper one I have, but good enough! These were taken when he was 15 months, October 2002.
