Satchmo (also known as MoMo, Fatmo, Chubby McFatty, and Chubby Boy) is our oldest cat. He showed up on our doorstep (he was clinging to the screen of the kitchen window peeking in) the Spring of 1997. He was clean and well fed, leading us to think he belonged to a previous tenant and was abandoned. He made himself at home and quickly fattened up, and soon we couldn't imagine life without him.

This big boy is definitely the king of the house. If he doesn't get what he wants he lets you know that he is very unhappy about it. There have been several times when he's begged for canned food and I've ignored him, then he's come up and nipped me on the leg for it.

Our chubby boy doesn't have much dignity, but he's so adorable sometimes.

Our second feline addition to the family was in August of 2000, a female tortoiseshell kitten we named Pumpkin (Princess, Little Girl, Lil' Missy). We didn't think it was possible to get a more aloof cat than we already had, but she's turned out to be it. Our newest cat Frankie (Franklin Peabody Jones, Bad Boy, Prince of Darkness, Son of Satan) was also a stray that showed up as a young kitten in the summer of 2002. He quickly took over the household. He's caused endless trouble and earned the hatred of the other two cats (though Momo will sometimes forget it and cuddle with him), but he makes up for it by being a cuddly lap cat in his better moments.
