January 3, 2005 The January meeting will feature getting started with blocks for a Chenille quilt. The first two blocks will be a heart and an apple. The three- dimensional project for the meeting will feature three-dimensional leaves for a wall-hanging or table runner.
February 7, 2005 At the February meeting we will continue with blocks for our Chenille quilt. The next two blocks will be a house and a flag. If we have time, the three- dimensional project for the meeting will feature three-dimensional leaves for a wall-hanging or table runner. If we do not have time for this project, it will be on the agenda for a future meeting.
March 7, 2005 At the March meeting we will continue with blocks for our Chenille quilt. The next two blocks will be a pumpkin and a leaf. The three-dimensional project for the meeting will feature three-dimensional flying geese that can be used as a border for the 3-D leaves wall-hanging or table runner. Donna will demonstrate the quilt-as-you-go technique that she used for her sampler bedspread and that Marion used for her Prairie Stars quilt. If we do not have time for all of these projects, they will be on the agenda for a future meeting.
April 4, 2005 At the April meeting we will continue with blocks for our Chenille quilt. The next two blocks will be a tree and an acorn. The three-dimensional project for the meeting will feature 2 blocks using flying geese, three dimensional strips, and folded corners. We will also have a demonstration on how to sew set-in-corners and triangles on an 8-pointed star (like the lone star but on a much smaller scale.) As usual, we will also have show-and-tell and treats
