Jean's Metaphor

My metaphor is an eagle. In specific a Bible verse "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31. An eagle has meaning for me because I strive to become like the eagle of this passage of scripture. I am a baby eagle at this time. Each day I attempt to learn and grow so that I can develope into a mature eagle. The eagle represents for me the way in which I can soar if I maintain my hope in the Lord to renew my strength. I will then be able to run toward my professional and educational goals and not grow weary in the travel if I keep my focus on the Lord. My job as a nurse is my walk of faith and my ministry to the patients and families I care for and I strive to not grow faint in this pursuit. The eagle is the symbol of the freedom I have to soar to the top of the mountain as long as I keep my focus on the Lord for the end result.
