Again, don't put too much stock in this. There are definitely errors, and similiar names that may be wrong. I do, however, believe that the genealogy researchers who uncovered these findings truly believed that there is a connection, so I present it here as a strong possibility to be proved or disproved.
Also, I got this email from M. Simon
I am searching for information on a Daniel Benner. He sailed from Rotterdam to America on a ship named "Betsy" on 13 October 1766. Family records indicate that he was one of 9 brothers (or cousins) that came to America during the mid 1700's and settled in the Pennsylvania/Ohio area. He had a son, also named Daniel, that was born about 1763 in Bucks County, Ohio.
Daniel Sr.'s brothers:
Name | Ship | Captain | Date |
Christoff Benner | Patience | Steel | 11 Aug 1750 |
Joannus Peter Benner | Royal Union | Nicholson | 15 Aug 1750 |
Han George Benner | Nancy | Thos Oawton | 31 Aug 1750 |
Johannes Christian Benner | Neptune | Neir | 21 Sept 1751 |
Joannes Benner | Bramister | Dogle | 31 Oct 1754 |
Jobe Annus Benner | Tiger | Johnson | 19 Nov 1771 |
Hans George Benner | Tiger | Johnson | 19 Nov 1771 |
J.G.L. Benner | Rosetta | Gomes Lines | 5 Apr 1787 |
The Bramister and Rossetta sailed from Amsterdam, the rest from Rotterdam.
Do you recognize any connection between your Johannes Benner and the Daniel and Johannes Benner that I am researching? I am looking for any information available about them and their parents.
Thank you for your help.

I wonder if brothers could be brothers in the Mennonite Church (??). Anyway, I hope this information helps us figure out our lineage back to Europe.
Good Luck in your research.
