Jackson Township is in Tioga County. John Benner and Elizabeth Bertach settled here, as stated in my previous message. It is not near Bucks County, although with all the migrations, it is difficult to say if they lived any other place prior to this.

This is what I know thus far.

The children of John Benner and Elizabeth Bertach were:

• Christian, born 2 April 1803 in Germany
• Jacob born 1805 Germany
• Mary Magdelena born 8 December 1807 in Germany (married Peter Sechrist Junior 1827 - Jackson township)
• Sarah born 1809 in Germany (also married to a Sechrist)
• Michael born 6 April 1812
• Hannah born 31 May 1814
• Anna born 1816
• Catherine born 1819 married John B. Yoder
• Susan? born 1825?

  There is a Jacob Long in my lineage. He was son to Johannes Lang/Long and Maria who emmigrated in 1749. Their children were George Long , James, Jacob, Christian (my lineage), Catherine. I am having difficulty with this line imparticular, as well as information on Christian. all I have there is that Christian married Sarah Brown in Hanover Township (Lancaster/Daupin County) in 1770. George was one of his children and we know George moved to Muncy with his family in 1823. However, I do not know of other children beyond George.
