Benner Families of Missouri (via Maryland)

Ken Benner has provided the following information.

I have been searching since June 1979. My Benner was from Maryland according to census records of Knox county Missouri. My Benner was: Elizabeth (No maiden name known) Benner, b. Md. about 1789 or 1790. Her husband's name is not known. They had these four boys:

Elias Benner b. oct. 9, 1812 in Md.
David Benjamin b. dec 31, 1819 in Md.
Christopher Benner b. Jan. 1823 Md. or Va.
Joseph Benner b. may 31, 1826 Md or Va.

My family was found on the 1840 Lewis co. Missouri census as the earliest record of them being in Mo. I don't know if there were daughters or not, but there could be. All the sons were married in Mo. from 1845 to 1855. No records were kept by this family that I know of.
