We live in Germantown, MD, about 20 miles northwest of Washington, DC.
Michelle and Chipp first started dating during their stay at Wootton High School in May of 1985. After a brief courtship, they were married in October 1992.
Michelle taught Chorus and Theater Arts for seven years at West Frederick Middle School in Frederick County, Maryland--about twenty miles north of our house. We had already agreed that she was in her last year of teaching before she (finally) got pregnant.
Chipp is a computer nerd, who recently started working at Gene Logic in Gaithersburg, MD after a four year stint at Bell Atlantic in Silver Spring, MD.
Three years, two laproscopic surgeries, three IVF cycles. This could very well be our last shot. It was further than Michelle ever wanted to go, and this was the third time she was going through it. When she finally tested positive on the pregnancy test, she said (later) she decided this would be all the children she would have, no matter how many there were (due to the high hormone levels on the test, the doctor advised us that there could be two babies).
By the way, the other day (late May, 1998) Michelle mentioned how neat it would be to have a single child when the triplets are about two years old. Yeah. We'll see.
Prior to the birth of our children, we ocassionally enjoyed a variety of free time activites. Both musically oriented, we performed with musical groups all the way through college. We are also amateur rollerbladers, and I have actually pushed the triplet stroller while on my blades.
