Hi everyone;
I've been writing this note over the last several days, and things are changing more the longer I take. I'll try to write faster and get this sent out.
Eight months! It's gone pretty darn quickly. And boy have they changed. I installed a baby gate at the top of the steps on Labor Day, and Holly rolled over to me while I was working on it. Crawling is iminent.
The kids have changed so much that we're starting to feel like they're
not
really babies anymore, but more like little kids or tiny people.
We have experienced the joys of sickness. CarrieAnna started us off with the coxsackie virus, then it was passed to James, and we think Holly is
just over it. Next time we were thinking we'll just rub the first pick kid all over the other two. But as I've taken time to write this, the next time has arrived.
James has had some strange congestion for a few nights, and the other
night
(Michelle's birthday) he got Holly into a mood where she refused to go
back
to sleep. Ugh. One of the worst nights we've had so far, since we had to deal with two at a time. This was followed by one of the worst days for
Michelle. Now I, too, am sick, but have been alive enough to help. It's
passed to Holly from James, and finally to CarrieAnna now, much sooner
than the last sickness. I missed work for
almost all of last week trying to recuperate and heal all of us.
The kids were evaluated by the county the other week, to see if they
needed
any help with any parts of their development. Holly is right on track;
CarrieAnna will be looked at once a month to see he she stops pulling
her
elbows back when she stands; James will get physical therapy once a week
to
work on his neck (torticollis) and to get his heels down when he stands.
The evaluators had a great time with the kids, and were impressed with
both
Holly's and James' speech. Both were ahead of their ages.
CarrieAnna and Holly are both sitting up for short periods now, which
seems
so strange to me.
As usual In behind on putting pictures on the web, but I have put the
old
updates there for those of you who are new to the list, or want to look
back at my previous rantings.
Anyway, gotta go help with kids. Hope to see you all soon.
