In the beginning there was YAHOO Chat.
A little over 2 years ago, " Bikerdad " met Guardgirl there.
At first it was little more than a "Hi, how you doing today" kind of thing.
Than one day, he found himself defending Gg (yah, like she needs any help there)...
and they became Chat Buddies.

I always thought of her as "The Other Woman" in his life...
...Not too threatening, and a lot of fun.

At the time she had a cast on her leg and won't tell us how this happened...
...to this day she still denies any ungraceful act. (Makes me wonder!)

Sometime later Bikerdad got sick (hense the nick name "HeartBoy") and Gg would call on the phone to see how both
he and I were doing.  She was really supportive and comforting when I most
needed a friend.
I (finally) figured out that she was my friend too...not just
someone who was sitting somewhere clicking the keys of  her keyboard....

About a year ago Gg "got sick"...actually she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Words will never express the despair and helplessness we felt while she and her family delt
with the long, unknown jeorney....the road to recovery.

It was than that I had an opprotunity to talk to Bill, Gg's hubby.
( I had always envisioned a real sleeze-ball, a beer drinking-womanizer... common,
you remember some of her jokes and all of the "male bashing", her hubby had to be a jerk).
* N O T ! *
(Sorry Bill, the "Cat's out of the bag")....("Where's Punky!?") LMAO.
What a nice guy.
During her Chemo we started talking about getting together for Bike Week '99
in Florida... It gave us all something to look forward to, and I think it was her
way of getting Bill to meet some of the "strangers" on the internet.
(Of course when there is "Biker" in anyones name, it can be a scary thing to most people).

Than it happened.    The count down began.
This was actually going to happen!
Phyllis and Bill were in route to Florida.

The clock ticked...
We paced...
And than Bikerdad said the words...
"They're here".
You've never seen a big lady move as fast as I did at that very moment.
I will never forget dashing out of the house, running out to their truck.
I hugged Gg so tight that I rearranged her body parts.
Bikerdad came out, taking over where I left off...
...I headed for Bill...
"Get out of that truck and let me give you a hug", I said to him...
This is where the memory gets alittle fuzzy,
as there were tears of emotions running all over the place.

This was the best week that Bikerdad and I have experienced in years...
and definately one we will charish in our memories forever.
To top it off, our girls Michelle and Jennifer love Aunty Phyllis and Uncle Bill too!...
(they say that kids and animals can sense things...Hummmm).
"Big Bill" and "Wild Phyl"
(Still a Hussy)
Ridin' with "Big Bill" gives a whole other meaning to
"SPREAD 'EM"
(And did I ever...Thanks for sharing Phyl :) )
