After my precious little girl died in my arms, I went crazy looking for answers.   Why did this happen?  How was I supposed to go on?  How could I go on?  How could I ever see life the same way again?  How could I live when I buried all of my hopes and dreams with Amanda?

I didn't like the answers I found.  "No one knows why this happened."   "You must go on." "You will never see life the same again.  You will always have a higher regard for life than you ever thought possible." and finally "You must create new hopes and dreams to honor her."

Two organizations are responsible for helping me through the worst part of my grief.   It is not over yet, but I have more good days than bad.

TCF-The Compassionate Friends and Hygeia.
The Compassionate Friends will send you information on dealing with grief.  They also have local meetings of bereaved parents.  Anyone is welcome to join the groups at any time.  You need not join immediately after you loss.  You can join anytime.
Hygeia is strictly a website dedicated to pregnancy and neonatal loss.  You can find names and situations of others like you, and read the heartbreaking stories posted on the bulletin board.  When you go there, you realize you are not alone.

If you need someone to talk to, I am always available through e-mail.  Someday soon, these pages will host a chat room where people can come together to share and restore a little hope.
