In August 2001, we celebrated Grandpa John's 80th birthday and Grandma & Grandpa's 40th wedding anniversary in Los Angeles. We spent a long weekend in L.A. with Grandma, Grandpa, and the girls' cousins Katie and Matthew and their parents. The kids had fun playing with their cousins and we all enjoyed playing tourist in Hollywood, seeing the new Getty Museum, and celebrating at the birthday and anniversary dinner.
