Continuing our tradition of visiting Yosemite National Park in the early spring, we returned in March of 2000 for a long weekend. We were lucky: rain and snow were forecast for the whole weekend, but in fact we had sunny skies the whole time. We stayed in a cozy cabin at Curry Village and explored the Valley and some of the lower elevation surrounding wilderness. This year, the girls were much more amenable toward hiking, covering 8 miles in one day! The abundance of wildflowers, waterfalls, and snow cover made this spectacular place even more beautiful than usual.
