Joseph must have been in the military as he is shown as Major Joseph Fordham in land dealings on April 1, 1712. He also is shown as owning 40 acres of land in Huntington on May 9, 1690 and was Justice for the town of Southampton April 2, 1706. Joseph died before October 2, 1718.
