Joseph Fordham (known as Si Fordham) was a jack of all trades, through out his life time he worked in Construction, Bush Work in Logging Camps, Worked in Sawmills, and Mines as well as being a Cook, probably a trade that he picked up from his Mother, Dolly Fordham.
On November 25, 1941 he joined the Army in Prince Rupert British Columbia and served as a Cook in World War 11, in Canada, Britain, Central Mediterranean Area and North West Europe. He received the following War Metals and Decorations, 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Metal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and War Medal 1935-45. He was honorably discharged in Vancouver, British Columbia on 30 October 1945. Rank on Discharge - Private.
