International employment opportunities for qualified Riding Instructors are expanding thanks to the newly
introduced Equestrian Trainer's Passport. The British Horse Society working with 27 other national
equestrian federations have agreed to this exciting new development which establishes a scheme to
measure the level of qualification across international boundaries.
Following three years of discussions the passports were approved at the fifth international conference
which took place in Geneva in June 1995. It will enable trainers to have their qualifications immediately
recognized in a foreign country, thus easing the difficulties of teaching in other parts of the world.
