I have worked in a variety of professions over the years. In my younger days I worked at anything I could get (which included everything from tending bar and driving a taxicab to cleaning and shining golf shoes in a women's lockeroom!). After spending 28 years working in the areas of Banking, Credit, and Finance, I returned to the field I originally trained for: teaching. I grew up in an era where not only was it accepted that most young men would enter the military, it was required! I at first thought that I would join the Marines (their dress blue uniforms were so cool!), but I was fortunate to act on the advice of my Uncle Bob. His words to me were: "Don't be foolish! Pick the Navy or the Air Force. At least you'll have three hot meals a day and a warm, dry place to sleep every night. It might not sound like much but, trust me, it's a lot more important than you THINK it is!"
