Heart of Stone
HEART OF STONE

Beneath the fire of the moon,
loves's wings are broken all to soon.
Hurt together, hurt alone,
Sometimes I wish my heart was made of stone.

With a heart of stone, I'd be well accepted,
With a heart of stone, I'd be well protected,
With a heart of stone, I could not cry,
I could not live, I could not die.

We turn the wheel to break the chain,
put steel to steel, and laugh at pain.
Sweet rain like mercy in the night,
caress my soul and make it right.

For if I had a heart of stone,
I could not love for all would be alone.
So wings are open hand in hand,
Friends forever to love and understand.

Wings are now open, hand in mine
friends forever, truth unblind.
Beneath the moon, I take this chance,
accept good hearts for true romance.
