marriage 11 Jul 1110. He resigned Anjou and Maine to his eldest
son and successor in 1129. He was appointed Count of Tyre and
Ptolmaide in 1129 and King of Jerusalem 21 Aug 1131; being
crowned 14 Sep 1131. He was accidentally killed in the plain of
Acre and was succeeded in Anjou and Maine by Geoffrey. {Burke’s
