OTES FROM CRANDALL NOTES OF MILDRED (CRANDALL) FALVEY (1987):

George E. was not too much of a worker, and once had a fight with his father, Elisha, upon coming down to the farm, probably to borrow some money. He told his father, "If it wasn't for you, my mother would be living today!"

His wife, Josephia, was a dressmaker.

MEMORIES OF FRED P. CRANDALL

George spent a lot of time with the E. Perry CRANDALL family, sometimes staying there many days. He was soft spoken, good with the kids.

One time when my wagon was broken, I pestered Uncle George to fix it. He took it and said, "I'll fix that thing for you!" He did, and he fixed it all wrong. It never worked right again.

He drove a Grand Union truck, making grocery deliveries. I think my mother bought things from him just because she felt sorry for him. [Crandall homepage]
