Statement from Newell Hoxie of Sandwich Mass. 4.21.1862 gives ancestry and wives of Ignatius, and some descendants to John H. Dillingham (365) under whose name find further notes. Charles Dillingham gives his birth as 1732 in a letter 1.10.95 to Dudley. Falmouth town records also give his death. In a letter from Allen W Dillingham, Long Beach, California 3-27-95 in Dudley’s ms, page 34 "...You have undoubtledly heard of the three Dillingham brothers who came from England..." [This tale is in error; There were two brothers, Edward and John, and Edward’s two young sons Henry and John. ED] "...My grandfather’s name was Ignatius - I think he had three sons, Joseph, Edward and Stephen and several daughters of whom I know but little." Letter from Chas Dillingham between pp 7 and 8 in Dudley ms Edward the son of Edward 2nd had five sons one of whom was Ignatius born 1732 went to Falmouth married Deborah Gifford.
