Sandwich, according to town records, but 29 May 1737 by family
records, the latter agreeing with age at death. Quaker, and by
trade a housewright or carpenter. [DILLIN.GED]
John Dillingham was the only child of Admiral Edward Dillingham and Elizabeth Goodspeed who was NOT born at sea. A comment recorded by Dean Dudley, a descendant of the Dillingham family, states there is mention by a family member that John "became a Methodist." Apparently this was something of a disgrace among all the Quakers! [STACYN.GED]
