he was born in 1638¹. For Sarah, the offense mentioned above (see Jane Kirby) was a second one, she having been brought to court on 5 March 1655/56 "concerning divers suspisous speeches by her vtterd against Richard Bourne and Mr. Edmond Freeman of Sandwidge aforesaid and found faulty and sentenced to be punished severly by whipping." but the punishment was deferred pending good behavior²; but with the second offense the punishment was inflicted³. On 5 June 1657 Sarah married Matthew Allen⁴, son of George¹ of Sandwich. Sarah was alive as late as 21 July 1707⁵. Her husband had died in 1695⁶.
