abez4, bapt. in Sandwich 1 Dec 1723; d. shortly before Sep 1747, when Nathaniel Hubbard, Esq., Judge of Probate for Bristol County, appointed "Sealed Landers of Harwich, County Barnstable, clothier" administrator of the estate of "your brother Jabez Landers, late of Dartmouth, County Bristol, cordwainer... lately died intestate" (Bristol County Probates 11:325/6). We find no record that this man had children, but Mary Landers of Dartmouth died intestate before 2 Nov 1756, when Jireh Swift of Dartmouth was appointed administrator. This may have been the widow of Jabez, who seems to be the only Landers to have lived in Dartmouth. [Lydia B. (Phinney) Brownson and Maclean W.
