Lydia4, b. ca. 1736; d. after 16 Aug. 1780 when she and her husband received their share in her father’s estate. "Lydia Larndros" mar. 30 Jan. 1766 "Jonathan Lorans" both of the Town of Falmouth "pr Roland Robinson Justs Peace" (Falmouth Town Records). He was the son of Samuel3 Lawrence (Joseph2, Robert1) b. there 19 Jan. 1732/3; d. after 16 Aug. 1780. His mother was Sarah Landers, dau. of Richard2, so he was Lydia’s first cousin. This is undoubtedly the Joseph Lawrence who received £102 per the accounting of Amos3 Landers estate in 1780. It was a far larger sum than those received by any other heir and it would be interesting to know how this came about. [Lydia B. (Phinney) Brownson and Maclean W. McLean, "Thomas1 Landers of Sandwich, Mass.," NEHGR 124:215]
