Savery4 Landers (Recompense3, Richard2, Thomas1), born 14 April 1732, died, probably in Falmouth, shortly before 13 Nov. 1811, when his land was distributed (Barnstable County Probates, 34:426, 7 and 434).

He married 1 Nov. 1754 Elizabeth6 Allen (she called "Daughter to Cornelius Allen of Sandwich"; he called "son of Recompense & Lyda his wife" - Sandwich Friends Monthly Meeting Records), daughter of Cornelius5 Allen (Cornelius4, Daniel3, George2-1) and his wife Dorothy5 (Allen) Allen (Richard4, Caleb3, George2-1), of Sandwich, born 18 Jan. 1733/4 (Sandwich Town Records). The will, dated 25 April 1756, of Cornelius Allen of Sandwich gives: "to my two daughters, Elizabeth Launders and Anna Wing" (Barnstable County Probates 13:211).

In the settlement of the estate of Recompense3 Landers, the subject Savory Landers is called "eldest and only surviving son of sd deceased", 16 Aug. 1780 (see above).

The 1790 Census shows Savory Landers, of Falmouth, with a family of three males over sixteen and four females. We suspect that he may have had in his household, in addition to himself and his son Richard who then would have been aged about 20, one of the male cousins who are not otherwise accounted for in the census. By a deed dated 20 Feb. 1800 Savery Landers "of Falmouth, yeoman", sold for $100. paid by David Crowell and Joseph Crowell, an acre of Sandwich land - his wife Elizabeth Landers renouncing her dower rights. Witnessed by Judah Eldred, Mary Landers (Falmouth Town Deeds, Barnstable County Deed Registry, 1:532).

The will of Savery Landers of Falmouth, dated 13 May 1803, proved 1811, gives: "To my son Richard Landers all my land, meadow, buildings", and appoints him executor; and "To my daughter Hannah $300 and household furniture after my wife’s decease. To my daughter Mary, $300 and furniture" and "To my wife Elizabeth". He makes provision also for the two daughters "while they remain unmarried" (Barnstable County Probates, 35:434). [Lydia B.
