This Dan Markham does indeed connect to the Deacon Daniel Markham Family. He was my 4th great grandfathers brother. (Israel Markham III). I will type what I have it might be a little lengthy but there is alot of information. I got some of this information from Curtis Hartwig. 1. Israel (1) Markham, II was born 21 January 1735 in Enfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut. He was the son of Israel Markham and Ann Spencer. Israel, II died before 6 July 1784 in (prob) Stockbridge, Berkshire Co, Mass. He married Penelope BEMENT on 23 June 1757 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. She was born 11 October 1735 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of William Bement and Phebe Markham. Penelope died before 1825. Children 1. Israel MARKHAM, III born 20 August 1758, Married Mary LANE, 12 Apr 1787, Williamstown, Berkshire Co., Mass. Died in Cass Co., MI. 2. Asa MARKHAM, born 22 September 1759, died 12 September 1843. 3. Dan MARKHAM, born 1 September 1764, died after 1850. 4. Asher MARKHAM, born 20 July 1767, died 25 May 1841. 5. Darius MARKHAM, born 10 April 1769, died before 1859. Notes for Israel, II Israel Markham...was the first white child born in Half Moon, a place a short distance north-west of Albany N.Y. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and a friend of General Putnam. His father was also named Israel. His son, Asa Markham, wintered at Valley Forge with Washington. Event: Baptism: On 25 January 1736 in Windham Cong. Church Dan Markham (1. Israel, II) was born 1 September 1764 in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer Co., New York. Salisbury Vital Records 1768-1800 list Dan born at Lawnson's Pattent, Aug. 31, 1765. He was the son of Israel Markham, II and Penelope Bement. Dan died after 1850 in KY. In the 1840 and 1850 Census for Ohio, Daniel is listed as living in Brown Township, Carroll County, OH. On 19 Mar 1850, Dan was in Summit Co., OH. He later moved to Kentucky. His spouce has not been identified. Children 1. Charles B. Markham, born 1800, in Fayette Co., PA. Charles died before 1890. He married Barbary ? about 1825. She was born in 1800 in PA. Barbary died before 1890. (I have their children if interested). 2. Uriah Markham was born arount 1800 in Fayette Co., PA. Uriah died around 1848 in Brown, Carroll Co, OH. He married Elizabeth Adams 24 July 1828 in Stark Co., OH. She was born 1803 in PA. Elizabeth died before 1893. (I have their children if interested). 3. Solomon Markham, was born 1805 in PA. Solomon died around 1870 in Walnut Grove, Neosho Co., KS. He married Mary ? about 1834 in PA. She was born 1811 in PA. Mary died before 1870. (I have their children if interested). 4. Rebecca Markham born about 1816. She married John JOURNEY 27 Mar 1834 in Carroll Co., OH. He was born about 1814. 5. Asa B. Markham was born 1816 in Brown, Stark Co., OH. Asa died before 1906. He married Harriet Fleming 5 February 1842 in Carroll Co., OH. She was born 1823 in PA. Harriet died before 1913. (I have their children if interested). 6. Daniel Markham, born 1824 in Brown, Carroll Co., OH. died before 1914. 7. Levi M. Markham, born 1826 in Brown, Stark Co., OH. died before 1916.
