His and Catys gravestones are still standing in Fairmount Cemetery. A battle in the Revolutionary War (Shays Rebellion) is reputed to have been one over the troops of General Pattison, by disguising "Mother Perrys Yard Beam" as an artillery fieldpiece, and bluffing the opposition into retreat.
