From Perry. Married Mehitable Leonard (1705-1792). Lived in Easton, Massachusetts, on land given Mehitable by her father. Served on the Church Committee and was commissioned a Captain in the militia under Colonel John Winslow. Raised a company of 46 enlisted men and in May 1755 he raised a company of 96 men (2d battalion, Governor Shirley’s Regiment) for "removing the French encroachments from His Majesty’s Government in Nova Scotia," where he died in service at age 44. In April 1740 Nathaniel Perry of Easton sold for £269 to Johnson Tolman of Dorchester 140 acres of land (lot 39, 25th Division) in Stoughton; on 29 August 1740, he bought from Eliakim Perry, administrator of the estate of Thomas Tupper, deceased, for £181, 141 acres in Stoughton. On the same date, he sold to his brother Josiah his third of the 386 acres the three brothers had purchased jointly from their father. On 9 Sep 1740 Nathaniel and Josiah Perry jointly mortgaged the Stoughton land; Nathaniel purchased this land from Josiah on 20 Nov 1740. On 17 Nov 1744, Nathaniel purchased land in Easton from Ezekial Titus and Patience, his wife. On 8 Nov 1748, he bought land in Easton from Samuel and Abigail Pollard of Taunton. On 1 Jan 1750, Nathaniel Perry of Easton sold land in Norton to Mehitable Smith of Norton; in the same year, he bought land in Easton from Samuel Pollard of Taunton and Henry Hix of Middleborough. On 31 Oct 1752, he sold land in Taunton to Hezekiah Smith of Easton. On 6 Nov 1742, Nathaniel Perry of Easton received his commission as Captain of the militia under Colonel John Winslow. On 6 Nov 1754, he had a company of 46 enlisted men and the next month received a warrant for further enlistments. On 29 May 1755 he raised a company of 96 men (the 2d Battalion, Governor Shirley’s Regiment) for "removing the French encroachments from His Majesty’s Government of Nova Scotia."
