It was his cousin, Samuel, who married Mary Tucker. Samuel, husband of Esther, was styled "Jr." to distinguish him from this older kinsman. Samuel Perry Jr. kept a tavern, which building was dismantled by his grandson, Seth; but in 1629 the cellar hole was excavated and several relics were found which are now preserved by the Bourne Historical Society.
