/O David SHERMAN & Ann CARPENTER.
Apparently Mary Jane was an emotionally distraught woman. She was very jealous of her husband (who apparently did have an eye for the ladies!). She took her own life with a gun which her son George E. CRANDALL had brought to her.
ADDITIONAL NOTES FROM CRANDALL NOTES OF MILDRED (CRANDALL) FALVEY (1987):
Mary Jane died by her own hand, using her son David's shotgun after having made other attempts at suicide. [Crandall homepage]
