Robert was made a "Freeman" of the Plymouth Colony on March 7, 1642 and immediately became one of the two Grand Jurors for Marshfield, Mass. He served the town as Committee (Deputy) in the General Court of the Colony in 1643, 1644 and from 1646 to 1650 (this service qualifies him as an ancestor for the Massachusetts Society, Colonial Dames of America). Robert was also a member of the military company in Marshfield. [STRUBE-1.GED]
