HOW WE ENDED UP
WITH TRIPLETS

I'll never forget the first time I heard those words....
TRIPLETS!
I almost fell off the ultrasound table.  A lot has happened since that day in 1994.  I had a very stressful pregnancy but with the help of great doctors, advanced medical technology and a lot of help from a Higher Power, I made it to 29 weeks and 3 days.  Believe me, I fought for everyday of it too.  I wish I could have gone a few weeks longer but I'm so grateful for going as far as I did.
Our trio was born in October 1994.  In less than 3 minutes our lives went from relatively normal to TOTALLY insane.
Kyle, Emma and Brady weighed in at 2# 7oz, 2# 4oz, and
2# 11 oz respectively.  They were so tiny that the pacifiers in their incubators were the same size as their heads.
After many weeks in the Intensive Care Nursery our babies started to come home, one by one.  Emma, our holdout in the hospital, came home 5 days before Christmas, it was the best gift we could have ever wished for, all 3 of our babies home and healthy.
The first year is pretty much a blur.  We were pretty much on our own in taking care of the trio and I now know why sleep deprivation is used to torture someone...I sometimes wonder how I survived that first year.  I think I probably got about a total of 24 hours of sleep that whole
first year.
The "terrible two's" were pretty terrifying, but so far 3 has been a really fun year.  They're really coming into their own little personalities and it's so much fun to watch their unique, sweet different
personalities develop.
I can't wait to see what the future brings, I know one thing for sure though, IT WON'T BE BORING!
