THREE LATE 18th CENTURY FEDERAL-STYLE MANTELS
Owners seeking the recovery of three, pine mantels stolen from NJ historic home on/about May 2, 1998. Home is currently being restored; each mantel has been stripped of paint. We are distraught and anxious for the safe return of these key architectural features of our home. Descriptions follow;
Mantel #1
· 5 ft. 6in. tall and 7 ft. wide outside dimensions
· 4 ft. tall and 5 ft. 5 in. wide at opening of fireplace
· Fluted pilasters (columns)
· 3 chip carved capitals under shelf
· Reeded frieze & small flutes under shelf on cornice
Mantel #2
· 4 ft. 9in. tall and 6 ft. 5 in. wide outside dimensions
· 3 ft. 4 in. tall and 4 ft. 5 in. wide at opening of fireplace
· 3 fluted capitals under shelf, and ogee molding around outside continuing across under capitals

· 4 ft. 9 in. tall and 6 ft. 5 in. wide outside dimensions
· 3 ft. 4 in. tall and 4 ft. 5 in. wide at opening of fireplace
· Beaded pilasters with chip carved rosettes at top and fluted frieze under shelf
