I painted the lower portion of the wall a deep forest green. I painted the upper portion a light shade of green and used a natural sea-sponge to sponge a pattern over the light green with a very light, almost white, green. A wallpaper border which has green, blue, and mauve covers the line between upper and lower halves. We have an open dressing area connected to the bedroom. I left the dark green off that part and just did it all in the sponge-effect. The bathroom I painted in the lightest color green. I masked off everthing but the wall areas and dipped a kitchen scrub brush in the dark green and flicked the paint onto the wall. I also flicked the medium green. It is hard to see the medium green, but when the sun comes in it shows up. It is different in a fun-sort of way. I used duck decoys as decorations in the bathroom, as the soap dispenser, and on the light fixture globe. My husband is happy with it, and I think it would hold it's own in a home and garden magazine! It's not too bad, if I do say so myself! :-) |
