I have one SSH and desperately looking for another. They are extremely hard to find in Arizona. I am about to take off for Tennessee to find another one. My wife and I are not into showing. We enjoy trail riding and I am joining the Maricopa County Sheriff's mounted search and resue team. So I need a 15 hand or less 5-10 yr gelding SSH with a great disposition on the ground as well as in the saddle. His gait must be smooth and his color can be blk/wht or bay sorrel etc. If anyone knows of a horse that would suit me, please let me know. Thanks, Ron Olive

A friend of mine owns an American Saddlebred mare and she wants to breed to my registered T-bred stallion next year. Congratulations on a nice page! It's nice to see the breed still growing! I believe that the spotted saddle horse, whether on the trail or in the shorwing, is the best horse anywhere. I am a member of SSHBEa and NSSHA. My family currently has 14 horses. 12 of them are spotted saddle horses. The 2 are broodmares that we generally breed to spotted saddle horses. We usually show about 6 horses a year. We train and show a few horses for customers (usually 2 or 3 horses), but mainly we just do it because we love riding and showing. I m the Treasurer of the Professional Spotted Saddle Horse Trainers' Association. We are non-profit and try to support both the SSHBEA and the NSSHA. We have about 40 members. Most are like me in that they train horses "on the side" and also have a full t me job. Even in middle Tennessee, there are only about 15 to 20 trainers who make their entire living by training and showing spotted saddle horses.
