The Brown Cloaker is physically identical to it's Black cousins except for it's colouration and smaller size. However, mentally, the brown cloaker differs in extremes. The brown cloaker is inherently psionic and it uses these powers to its advantage.

Combat
The brown cloaker wishes to avoid combat as much as possible and will use it's psionics as best it can to avoid physical confrontation. However, once physical confrontation is unavoidable, the brown cloaker fights with the same tactics as it's black cousin.
"When a cloaker strikes at its victim, it moves with blinding speed. Without warning, the cloaker flies at tis target and, if the attack roll is successful, engulfs its prey within its folds. Any creature that falls vitim to this attack is all but helpless and can be bitten easily (no roll required) for 1d4 points of damage plus the victim's unadjusted [Without DX or Magick] Armor Class. ...
While it is devouring it's chosen victim, the cloaker uses its two whip-like tail attacks to inflict 1d6 points of damage on those who move in to help rescue the captive. The tail is AC1 and can be cut off if a total of [8] ... points of damage are inflicted on it.
Any attacks made on the cloaker inflict half their damage to the cloaker and the other half to the trapped victim. Area effect spells, such as fireball, cause full damage to both the monster and it's victem."2
All other unoccupied cloakers will seek to psionically aid the conbatant from a distance without closing in, if possible. A brown cloaker cannot moan or manipulate shadows.

Habitat/Society
While their natural habitat is unknown, brown cloakers often flock to human settlements on the edges of civilization. There, the leader of the pack finds the tailer or seamstress and attacks that person while he or she is alone. Often this attack is subtle and the target's memories are tampered with (via Mindwipe, or a post hypnotic suggestion) so the only thing the victem remembers its returning with a strange new cloak. The brown cloaker has attatched itself to the victem and slowly begins drinking thier blood through a large probiscus inserted below the brainstem. This process may take months -- so slowly does the brown cloaker feed.
During this time the brown cloaker causes the tailor to create more cloaks that look exactly like the one he "wears." The leader hides the rest of his pack amongst these cloaks. In a matter of weeks, using the 'attraction' devotion, the whole pack has hosts and most people in the town are wearing newly designed cloaks. When one host dies from the draining, the brown cloaker simply moves to another host. Since the whole town is wearing identical cloaks, it is easy for the cloaker to switch hosts undetected. When the entire settlement has been wiped out, the pack moves on.
