All three swords are built with the same style and design; one a bastard sword, one a broadsword, and one a short sword. The hilt on all is formed by two bars crossing in an 'X' so that each sword has four prongs extending from the pommel. Each prong extends straight out, narrowing to a point. The grip is wrapped in light brown leather strips and the base of the sword is capped with five disks of increasingly deminishing size forming a dull point. The blade of each sword has it's name etched into it in Thrilltorian (Common). The metal of the entire sword is a soft, dark, dull grey.

GM's Stuff:

Olef Khan was a Warrior Mage within the ranks of the Church of Alesta. Throughout his life he tried to balance a life of excitement and adventure with one of peace and tranquility. He would leave home for months at a tyme to do daring deeds and then return for months of rest and relaxation. This schedule made him very happy. Unfortunatly it often frustrated, frightened and eventually angered his wives, who quickly became his ex-wives.    He was often called upon by the Church to work as a messenger, adventurer, and warrior. These assignments became increasingly difficult as his status within the Church grew. The Bards say that the Church eventually asked him to retrieve a sacred relic that had been lost generations ago. The relic was currantly located deep inside the Taliensen Mountains, guarded by three gaurdians. Olef did some research and forged the three swords to dispach these gaurdians. Each sword was enchanted with a specific power and named after one of his favorite ex-wives. Olef's plan: Sneak in, grab the relic, sneak out. Olef's backup plan: Be prepared if things went wrong.

Delorous

This sword was named after his third wife who was the daughter of the Blacksmith that had taught him to forge in the first place. She was a huge, overbearing woman who constantly argued with Olef, but always made making up a pleasure.
The Church of Alesta had warned Olef that the ancient Temple where the Relic was located was currantly being used by a group of Medusa as a lair. The Medusa had a small tribe of Verbeeg gaurding the grounds and the Verbeeg were fanatical in thier job.
Olef had run into Verbeeg before. He enchanted the giant Delorous with a special gift. If the wielder is aware of being attacked with a non-magickal missle weapon the sword begins to move with blinding speed. On a Save vs. Wands the sword deflects that weapon, batting it aside. Up to the wielder's level of missle weapons can be deflected per round if the wielder forgoes all attacks that round, up to half of the user's level (round down) if the wielder attacks once, and up to one quarter of the user's level (round down) if the wielder attacks more than once.
This power is always active. The sword seeks out any weapon that approaches it however, regardless of whether it would actually hit or not. The savings throws are rolled before the rolls to hit.

Cindy

This sword was named for his fifth wife, a blind bard. Her playing was better than most who could see the lute's strings, and she had a fondness for romantic tradgedies. Olef always wondered if maybe that was why she left him.
Olef's research had told him about the terrible curse of the Medusa. He knew that if he met one of their gaze, even by accident, that he was a gonner. He also knew that if one of thier serpentine locks managed to nip him, he would probably drop dead. He enchanted Cindy with two gifts.    First, the wielder can cause darkness on command. This darkness extends in a 40 foot radius centered on the blade, and lasts until the wielder dispells it or until the end of the day. While the user wields Cindy, his or her other senses are increased dramatically to compensate for the darkness. Anything the wielder does suffers only a -2 penatly rather than -4. Secondly, the sword is repellant to serpents. Any attack by a serpent or serpentine creature on the user of Cindy suffers a -4. Any save that the wielder makes vs. poison due to a serpent bite is made with a +4.

Shannon

The last sword was named for his fiery haired, petite, eighth wife. Shannon had been a sculptor, reknown for her talent. She loved working clay. Olef found a statue of her holding his genitals the night he returned to find her missing. Remarkable likeness.
The final challange was a Caryatid Golem the Priests had left to guard the relic. Olef knew a bit about magicakal constructs, and Golems in particular. It was a pet project of his.
Shannon's gifts allow the wielder to cast "transmute rock to mud" twice a day against whatever the wielder hits. Additionally, the short sword is virtually indestructable. It gets a +6/+30% on any save to remain intact.

Olef's Quest

Olef managed to sneak past the Verbeeg with little conflict. He dispatched a couple and snuck past thier camp. The Medusa was a little more difficult. The darkness helped, but the three Medusa put up a terrible fight. Several tymes, only the magick of Cindy saved him from death from the snakebite. After finding his way through the maze of the ancient temple, Olef stumbled upon the last gaurdians. He reluctantly dispatched the Caryatid as she reminded him of his sixth wife, Brittanny. After taking care to secure the relic, Olef returned to the Church of Alesta. He lived many years and took a total of sixteen wives, but eventually Alesta called him to her bossom. It is said that the swords were claimed by the Church who issued them out to other adventureres that they had assignments for. On occasion, these warriors never returned from the missions they volunteered for, and eventually, all three swords were lost.
