Gugada Giel

Gugada's mother heard him from her kitchen. She knew that there was an awning covering the edge of the piazza that kept people who walked under it dry. She shouted back to Gugada Giel, "Go dona, dona. Go around; go around, the piazza!"
A few minutes passed and Gugada's mother heard him cry again,"Oui Maaaa! I went all around and still jo ende: it is raining!"
"Go dona, dona," she said again, "and come back dry!"
But she waited only to hear him cry again,"Oui Maaaa! I went all around again, and now it is dark out!"
Now, since it was getting late, she thought Gugada should just come home straight across the piazza, rain or no rain, so she yelled out, "Gugada Giel! Go menza menza !" "Menza menza" means "half and half." Gugada's mother was trying to tell him to cut straight through the middle of the piazza. Still, he did not come home.
"Oui Maaaa!" he cried. "It is still dark!"
"Go menza menza, she called again, "and come home quickly!"
Finally, Gugada Giel arrived home, wet and tired. But when his mother opened the pizza box, she was shocked to find it sta nende: empty. "Gugada Giel!" she cried. "What happened to the pizza?"
