This is Wally. He's an Australian Shepherd crossed with some kind of hound. He has had some obedience training and we would have liked to trained for Search & Rescue. But, he is too old now and will soon be joining Lucy, Ethel and Jato at the Rainbow Bridge. He still likes to go "bunnying" and, occasionally, still outsmarts a cottontail. In fact, he was the only dog to catch a rabbit at the Abilene Greyhound Gathering in June 2000. Wally is thirteen years old and we got him on Christmas Eve in 1988. He was scheduled to be euthanized because nobody wanted him. So, we adopted him.
This is the first, the original, the true Dyno-Mutt! This is Lucy!
Lucy went to play with her sister, Ethel, on October 3, 1999, at the Rainbow Bridge. We miss them terribly. She was given a place of honor at "The Memory Wall".
Lucy was seventeen years old and even though she could still play, it wasn't like when she was two years old! At age 2, she was a frisbee champion in Maryland and could fly with the best of them, seldom missing a catch. She loved the long throws, because she could stretch her long legs and run like the wind. Lucy was another "Heinze 57" dog, and was probably a cross between a whippet and a labrador. In addition to frisbee, Lucy loved swimming.
Ethel was Lucy's littermate and sister. On the last day of April 1998, Ethel went to stay at the Rainbow Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge is where all beloved pets await their masters so they can cross the Bridge together as a family.
