The Following Lineages have been submitted by members of the Owen Family Association. The name of the submitter and email address is shown with each lineage.

1.Dr. Thomas Owen was born in VA, ca1730, and died in Greeneville, Greene Co., GA, in 1805. Various researchers postulate that his wife was named either Jane Glen, or Jane McDearmond; however, no reliable source document has been produced for either case. Likewise, his parentage is unproven. Some think his father was John Owen, the Sheriff of Pittsylvania Co., VA, while others would choose Richard Owen of Halifax Co., VA. Again, documentary proof has not been found. The Owen Family Newsletters, Vol.3, #4, and Vol.4, #1, of 1988/9, contain an analysis by C. Owen Johnson of his parentage and descendants.
