Minister
David has served as a minister since graduation from Freed-Hardeman College in 1974. He has worked as youth director at University Church of Christ in Murray, Ky., pulpit minister at Hico Church of Christ, New Bethel Church of Christ, and Mt. Zion Church of Christ, all in Henry County.
Key responsibilities
David serves as our song leader, serves as the high school coordinator for our education program, teaches adult and youth classes and conducts pew packers for youngsters on Sunday evenings prior to services. He also fills the pulpit in the absence of Brother Banks. As of July 16 he has accepted the position as associate minister with emphasis on youth.
Department or workgroup
Serving on the education committee, filling the pulpit on occasion, in addition to preparing the Sunday morning radio program and Friday newspaper article, keep David busy during the week.

VBS
For the past three years the eduation department has completed the VBS with the creation of story rooms covering the life of an important bible character. The first year we studied the life of David, last year the life of Joseph and this year Esther. We have seen excellent cooperation and participation from young and old alike in the peraration of the necessary materials for a successful VBS. In addition adults and children have taken the VBS to Schaumburg, Illinois for VBS programs at the Schaumburg church of Christ.

Brother David was born January 9, 1952 in Buchanan, Tennessee. His parents are David Hugh and Charlotte Jackson. He graduated from Henry County High School in 1970 and attended Lambuth College, Freed-Hardeman College and Murray State University. He graduated from Freed-Hardeman and their 3rd year preacher program before completing his undergraduate work at Murray State University with a major in Speech and Communication and a minor in English. David completed his Master's Degree work in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Science in 1980 at the University of Tennessee. He has been married to Jacque Jackson for twenty-seven years and have four children, three daughters and a son ages 25-15. David worked full time as a teacher in the Henry County School system as an English teacher of 9th grade students. He formerly coached girls and boys basketball and football at Buchanan Junior High for seventeen years. He has also been the high school men's soccer coach at Henry County High School. During the high school football and basketball season David works with WLZK-FM as a sportscaster. As of July 16th David became our youth minister and has resigned from the public school system.
David enjoys working in wood, golfing, and broadcasting sporting events.
