Nagle

These are the desendants of Conrad S. Nagel. Conrad came to America in the mid 1800's from Hess-Darmstadt, Germany. He was born November 7, 1834. He was married to Sarah A. Brilhart (born Dec. 12, 1840 in Pa., died Jan. 24, 1917) on August 23, 1859, at the German Reform Church in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania. He and his wife resided in the Hampstead/Greenmount area of Carroll County, Maryland. His occupation was a sawyer. He and his wife had eleven children. Around 1880 the spelling of the name was changed to Nagle. He died on January 30, 1892 and he and his wife are buried at the Greenmount UM Church Cemetery.
