John 3: 16
For God
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things become new.
If you followed through the steps to claim God's promise to you, here are some more steps to take to claim the Victory in your Life.
STEPS TO VICTORY:
1. Keep on praying/asking - Luke 11:9-10, 1 Colossians 1:9, Philippians 4:5-8
2. Confess and forsake every known sin - 2 Chronicles 7:14
3. Try everything we know the Lord wants us to do (faithfulness) - Psalm 119:34
4. Commit everything to the Lord - Proverbs 3:5-7
5. Learn to praise the Lord anyhow - Psalm 57:7, Acts 14:27
Read your BIBLE, PRAY everyday... and you'll GROW (spiritually)...
The Christian (this is our new name, as we identify ourselves with Christ) needs to know the WILL of GOD:
1. How should we LIVE?
" I the Lord, search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." (Jeremiah 17:10)
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary to one another: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (Galatians 5:16-17)
2. What should I DO?
"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." (Proverbs 16:3)
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of GOD. (2 Corinthians 4:2)
The Deity of Christ:
Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I AM. (John 8:58)
I and my Father are one. (John 10:30)
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. (Philippians 2:5-6)
More inspiring promises of God:
Proverbs 22:4
By humility and fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
Proverbs 22:20-21
Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
If you become confused about your faith and religion:
James 1:26-27
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is in vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God is this, "To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Don't forget to meditate upon the Word of God: Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
