Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO. Matthew 6:19-21

God's Financial Plan:

Bring all your tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, IF I WILL NOT OPEN YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN, AND POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING, THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground: neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:10-11

THE RIGHT FOUNDATION:

God owns - " For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours" (1 Chronicles 29:11). We must realize that God owns everything we have and He enables us to possess these things. This knowledge will free us from selfish and greedy attitudes, and produce a Godly perspective concerning our money and possessions.

God Controls - " But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God : for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. (Deuteronomy 8:18-19). This should not generate fear but confidence which allows us to relax when facing potential concerns over financial matters.

God Provides - " For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things" (Matthew 6:32). This is practically proven by almost everyone who has been in need one time in their life. The proof is that we enjoy the basic things we need to live.

Our Commitment - " All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers. (Deuteronomy 8:1). As there are scientific laws, economic laws or government laws which if not followed will result in chaos, there is also the DIVINE law which is certain.

Stewardship - a steward is one entrusted with the responsibility of handling and administering the property and business of his master. The Christian is a steward of God.

Luke 12:35-48 - The parable of the Faithful Servant
