The WELLS Family Association is researching the families of John WELLS (1815-1881) son of Richard and Susannah HUTCHESON WELLS, and Nancy Ann WEBB WELLS (b. 1822) dau. of William WEBB of Daniels Creek in Johnson County. This couple moved their family to Lawrence County, Ohio shortly after the Civil War, and seems to have vanished after the 1880 Lawrence County Census. Any information that can help us would be appreciated.

I am seeking any information about early HUFF families who settled in Floyd County during the early 1800's. John HUFF (HOFF) was born in 1775 in VA and moved to the area of Beaver and Caney creeks in Floyd Co. before 1822. He and his wife, Elizabeth Pratt, had three sons, Jeremiah (Jerman), William, and Harrison James. I would gladly share information with anyone who has researched any of these families. It is my understanding that some of the descendents are buried in the Huff Cemetery in Hueysville.
